That's a great price, likely doing you a favor. Assume that is pads only as the rotors (at cost) are more than that. Suggest you confirm what pads she will be using as some are better than others. For fronts, group seems to prefer EBC red. For rear, i have been using Akebono as they are very low dust and quiet. while others (mishar) prefer OEM, which are terrific but the amount of dust is too much for me as i prefer clean rims and the audi OEM pads have the most black dust of any OEM car i've owned.
Too each is own, but that would be my advise. At the end of the day, this is a brake job not a timing belt. Any competent shop should be able to do this. With one important excepction, the rear brakes on the A8 require the software to release the parking brake and reset the thickness of new pads. Talk to the friend who ones the shop and confirm she is equipped to do this procedure.

The brake pads I quoted you on are my vendors' "house brand" ceramic. I can get Akebono brake pads, the cost is $37 more than the house brand, and yes I do have the computer tool to release the parking brake and reset pad thickness.
