Address 01: Engine Labels: Redir Fail!
2 Faults Found

P1907 - 002 - ECU<->ECU Communications Fault
17861 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235)
P1453 - 000 - Open or Short to Plus
As I said, no experience with Diesel engines, but it looks like it has 2 ECU's and one is either faulty or connection to it is faulty. First check the connection, clean contacts with some electronics cleaner and scan again to see if this code is still present. If it is replace ECU.

If you don't already have wiring diagrams I would recommend getting them, either bentley manual, elsawin or erwin
Some usefull info in the following SSP 287
Once you have fixed the ecu comms issues then start to look into the gas temp sensor fault.

Take the car to a dealer or other qualified shop and get it repaired properly. Then when things break one at a time, you can easily fix them.
You will have to go to a dealer to have the Component Protection issue taken care of anyway.

Audi put some real thought into this car, like headlight washers that operate sequentially, so the side that's not being washed allows for better visibility.

Indeed, quite sophisticated considering it came to market in around 2003, the headlight washing was brought up in another post in the last few days, I didn't remember at the time it was mentioned in this SSP
If you have a look through this there are quite a few more
