Default Aftermarket brakes with sensor

Friends, I recently picked up a set of RBC brakes and learned thereafter that without a sensor the brake warning light will remain illuminated. Can anyone suggest a set of pads with the sensor function? Not that it may matter, but I have a set of ECS slotted and drilled rotors coming.

Not true - at least not true for my 2009 S5. There is often some confusion in on-line forums about how the sensor works, as on may previous Audi models the brake sensor is built right into the pad, whereas for B8 cars the sensor is separate. Many after-market pads do indeed have the slot that allows you to reuse your old sensor. When running pads that don't have a sensor slot I simply tie the old sensor up out of the way, and take care to save the little copper clip that snaps to the tip of the sensor. Alternatively you could disconnect the old sensor from the its connector and then short the leads in the connector to fool the system into believing that the sensor is in place and working.
