Default Wash/clean Seatbelt?

Anyone have any recommendations on the best method to wash/clean seatbelts? The belts on my wife's LX470 are gross and stiff, so they have a difficult time retracting. I'm thinking that dunking them to soak in some Simple Green might not be the best thing for them, so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I've seen many warning about "cleaning" seat belts. For safety reasons it's not recommended as nobody knows how the fibre may be affected by whatever potion you select...

I watched a couple of youtube videos.

First one was a detailer using a chemical called x3:

This one is just using a pressure washer:

Probably better to go without using chemicals, but will washing with hot water damage the belts?

If it were me, I would soak in a diluted Woolite solution of warm water, rinse and dry with a microfiber which will also help remove dirt.
