Oil level via vag-com

Some additional oil-related stuff I came across in [17-instruments] [adaptation]. Haven't yet found any user-accessible way to see how the oil quality stuff is used though. Must be something in a measurement block or advanced measurement values somewhere, just haven't found it yet. Does the dealer list some oil quality figure on your receipt after they change your oil?

That oil quality refers to LongLife service intervals (Europe, for example) vs. what we have (fixed intervals). The LongLife oil meets a different VAG quality standard and the oil drain interval could be much longer than 10k miles given the right conditions.

I don't have my dealer invoice for service handy, but all it really listed was the part # they have for the oil (actual oil brand not listed) and the approximate ammount they put in. They had the quantity listed as "66" which I think is deciliters. 6.6 L = 7 quarts (approx). No other info was listed on the invoice as to level of oil prior to the change, color of the oil, etc.

Thought I'd post my latest oil updates. After a 500 mile interval the oil level on my dipstick has dropped a tiny bit, not quite 1mm but defintely more than zero. The MMI display and the dash display have not moved; still show full/original levels (so they don't display differences that small).
The Vag-com parameter that seems to correspond to that small drop is #248 LOIL_MIN_SRV_INTL, which dropped from 17.0000mm to 16.6250mm over that mileage interval. It may turn out that is the only parameter that is worth monitoring but still to early to say for sure.
Thought I'd also add my notes about oil color, since I've seen posts saying their oil is dark very shortly after changing it. At 500 total miles my oil was still very clean and honey colored. At about 700 miles it was beginning to take on some darker color but was still mainly honey colored. I wiped the oil on a white rag to tell the color, since it's hard to say from the dark dipstick. So, if your oil is dark shortly after getting it changed, my guess is there was a good bit of old oil remaining because a new engine can defintely go hundreds of miles without darkening the oil.

Just had the oil changed on my 2009 Audi A4 v6 3.2. After the garage installed 7q of oil (or so they say) my MMI Oil warning is still on.

It would be really helpful to know what the actual millimeter measurements for Low and High should be.
