Default Q5 rear parking sensor repair

I unfortunately bumped my wife's car with my q5 pplus. Damage was minimal, but the Lowe balance was popped out and a pdc sensor was broken.

Now, the parking system no longer turns on the rear camera, and simply blinks yellow and beeps a few times, whenever the car is placed in reverse.

Since there was no damage to the paint work, I was thinking of simply replacing the broken sensor.

I've found the sensors on eBay for around $50. Part number 5KD 919 275

Do any of you Audi gurus know if the system will return to normal functionality if a new working sensor is snapped in? Or, do error codes need to be reset?

Stupid phone... I meant to say "lower valance", meaning the small rear bumper that houses the sensors.

Lesson learned - dont post a question from your phone.

If I remember correctly from my car, it should work when you plug the sensor in. The only problem that you may have is that the sensor is painted the body colour and you can only buy a primed sensor. If any PDC sensor on the car doesn't work, the entire system doesn't work (stupid design in my opinion, but I can see why they did it - liability issues)

Sounds like I should pick up 4H0-919-275 as the replacement for my 2011 pplus.

Can you confirm if I need to reset anything in the CPU or not?

Since I bumped the valance, the camera won't turn on and the parking button on the dash simply blinks yellow a few times whenever I put it in reverse (or manually turn on the system)

Thanks again for the info.

I'm not sure the reset, but if you need You can do this with VCDS.
This is done with the module for parking, has nothing to do CPU

I replaced the sensor with 4H0-919-275, found on ebay for $33USD. The whole parking system came back online without issue. Thanks again for the info!

Cheers!
