and since the car lot owner was curious about my "special tool", he asked if I can take a look at one of his cars with a blinking PRNDS signal. It turns out that it has a faulty TCM (CVT) and I told him how to fix it. He passed on this info to his happy buyer since the buyer had a mechanic who knew how to fix this.

For us, we picked up a very pristine C6 A6 with almost nothing to worry about except for an intermittent and minor MMI interface bug that I should be able to fix with a firmware update.
