Default 1.8T engine tick at idle

OBDII came up with P0011: P0011 calls Bank 1 (intake camshaft) as over-advanced.

I replaced the camshaft sensor from some advice; did nothing whatsoever. I have read around and some people think this problem could be the timing chain. Anybody have similar problems? Or solutions would be better!

I say take it in too a certified mechanic. If you replaced the cps & everything is in-line perfect. Oh how about the chain...although there not prone to problems..it may be another alternative.

That noise is the cam timing. It is out of time the timing belt jumped a couple of teeth that is why you have a code for intake camshaft advanced..That noise is the valves tapping the top of the pistons. NOT GOOD...
