Hi guys,

I will be straight up. I am new to turbos. I have had them, but never needed to repair them because they are generally in a newer vehicle with warranty etc... I am fairly knowledgeable able naturally aspirated, but no expert by all means.

My question is... why does it sound like my turbo spools up when I first fire up my car. It sounds like it could be a fan i suppose, but a very loud turbo sounding fan. I also figured I would have a little more "pep" with this car. It definitely has a lag when trying accelerate off the start or on the highway. I purchased it with faulty coils and a few codes on the dash. (the usual Audi stuff, ABS due to speed sensor fault, Air Bag due to common wire under the passenger seat and emissions issue via downstream O2 sensor), Would any of these create an issue? I have been trying to repair each one when I get extra coin to throw at it.
