I just bought a 99 a4 for my wife to drive. Got it cheap since the car had pretty high miles 211k and needs a little work. Right now it'll fire and run but will not build any boost and starts to smoke after it heats up. I think the turbo blew the seal and is shooting oil in the exhaust. I'm new with the Audi platform and I have no idea what type of turbo Audi fits their 1.8t with. Anyone know where to get a kit for it? I always work on my own trucks and cars so I will be doing this myself.

Try to contact this place, Http://a1turbo.net in california. Remember, you have to use the oil cleaning device and conventional paper oil filter don't remove the "debris" in circulate oil. Most turbo failure are caused by "debris" and doesn't help every 3000 miles oil service. Good luck and enjoy. See my post in other forums.
