Default Valve train noise help,ty!

2003 a4 1.8t ,have already did complete timing belt kit,already replaced the cam chain tensioner thinking it was maybe that ,it had to be done anyway. I still have valve noise,about 1700-2000 rpm. Any less (at idle) i wont hear it.anymore than 2500 rpm with load i wont hear it either, any clues? Ty,i will be on this post until i figure this out.with follow ups to help others,ty

You sure it's a valve noise and not a rod bearing or a cracked flex plate (in an automatic). One day I was chasing a "ticking" noise in a toyota @1500rpm and it turned out the flex plate was cracked all around the bolts (probably over-torqed by the previous mechanic repairing). Strange but fixed the noise.
