Default Heater Core Vaccum

Need your help on the following:
Next to the pipes of the Heater Core, there is a long vacuum line that is connected to the engine vacuum next to the intake manifold. I was replacing all vaccum lines, but this one did not seem to be easily pulled.

Has anybody replaced this..?
Should I just pull the vacuum hose and replace it..?

Thanks,
Manuel

On the A4 you can only get to it when the heater core is out.

Thanks for your answer..
I ran a search, and noticed you had posted something about this before.
I will go ahead and extend this after the firewall as many are recommending.

Thanks!
Manuel

That's what did until I replaced the evaporator core.
