and no one is happier to get rid of that POS and all of it's iron-clad restrictions than I am.

https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/240728.phtml</a

Default You had mentioned previously about the possibility of sellling this as a plug and play kit once you

get yours worked out. Is this still the case?

Default I'm about 2 months away from having mine done

I have the $ now but problem is that my gearbox is shot... and that kinda requires that I delay ridding the car of the hitachi for 2 months or so. I daydream about the joys of a hitachi free engine bay every day.

Good luck with the HalTech system... I think I'm going to give the Perfect Power PRS-8 a go as the national distributor is here in NJ and like you I have no intention of pretending I have even the slightest clue as to what to do with that harness or computer.

Default I doubt it'll ever happen due to cost. Even with the basic box this is still a $3k+ buy in....

thats a LOT of money for something that in and of itself is worth very little gain... maybe 20HP. It's real benefit is to facilitate more extensive engine modifications and get much more out of them than the Hitachi can. And the ECU I'm using with all the additional/optional drivers and adjustment provisions literally exceeds the retail value of most cars it would be purchased for and the mods to that cars engine to take advantage of that ECU could be triple the cars retail value. My new engine with this system has already exceeded $18k and will topple $20k before it's installed and running.

Yes, it can be done but I dont think anyone else will attempt it. Its a frivolous and vulgar waste of money that can never be recovered with any semblence of worthwhileness. I'll probably always have this car as I'd lose my shorts on any sale. I've gone way way overboard on this one. But everybody gotta be somewhere doin' something.
