Oil filter mount (12V engine) - can this thing be replaced?

There was a write up about a year ago regarding an upgrade to the B5 S4..
heat exchanger. I did the conversion a few months ago and it is working great, no leaks. I paid under $175 including taxes for all of the parts.
To answer your question though, yes it can be replaced. Not a hard job for DIY.

Essentially lower oil temps due to the 25% increase in size. The link..
