Default Throttle body vacuum port

Where is the little brass port on the driver's side of the throttle body supposed to be connected to in the engine bay. This is the one that sticks out right where the cruise control linkage arm guide is attached. I cant remember what it connects to.

This might be causing my rough idle, and I need to put a fresh gasket on the throttle body.

The code I pulled said it was either a vacuum leak or 2 of my pre-cat O2 sensors are shot.

I am thinking that I'll fix the vacuum leak and then bring the car in and see if I can get them to replace the oxygen sensors, because they are expensive and I am not one to turn down a pair of $300 oxygen sensors installed for $25 and my sunroof noise fixed too.

Default It goes to the plenum...

and to a hose barb right under the driver side crankcase breather hose. It's a bit hard to see.
That's the hose that sucks the oil that collects in the bottom of the plenum back into the throttle body and manifold.

If you didn't plug that hose, then you had a major vacuum leak (and an oil leak at the plenum end).

Sorry, AW shrinks my pretty diagram down to a size at which it's hard to read...

Default If you e-mail me that picture, I'll host it for you.

That way you can just link to the picture and you won't have to worry about AW resizing it.

If interested send it to me here: scott@scottholman.com

Default thanks

Thats what I needed...

I dont use the evap connections on the plenum, as I dont like the car slurping down its own snot and *** gasses.

I just routed that plenum to throttle body line, but I still have a hiss so I will install the new TB to manifold gasket today. Then we will see what kind of noises it makes, hopefully that will shut it up and I'll have it in later on this week for some new oxygen sensors.

Default Do you use a catch can?

A new TB gasket eliminated one of my vacuum leaks. And I had vacuum leaks everywhere...
