X post: Installed my new Harman Kardon Traffic Pro CD/GPS receiver last night in the A4
**I know I can probably get results here a lot faster than my post in the audio forum**
Everything works fine & sounds great, but it puts off a whole lot of heat. So much that when I touched the built in amp that it burnt me. I inspected all of the wires & noticed that it burnt through the insulation on one of my RCA wires that goes to my subwoofer's amp. So I called Harman Kardon's tech dept. this morning & they said that it indeed does generate a ton of heat & is normal for that model. So now I need something to wrap my wires with that resists a lot of heat because it's such tight quarters in there & I know some wires will inevitably make contact with the unit. What can I use? Thanks!

Will do
The heat was caused by the factory amplifier, so the place I bought it from is going to disable it tomorrow. They called the manufacturer & got more detailed info than me.
