HELP 2.7T Trouble
#11
Low compression can cause a misfire/poor running. You need to find out if low compression is across the board or just one cylinder. Then from there you can find out where the loss of compression is coming from a leak down test can usually find that or a running compression test. There can be many causes of low compression you have to keep testing to narrow down the exact location.

Thanks again for all your advice. do you know what would cause the "ticking" noes i am hearing. to me it sounds like valves . and its only coming from the passenger side bank. i hope its not a bent valve or anything like that. im just trying to get an idea of what i have in store for me lol.

ok im back i was sick with the flu or something the last few days anyway got the compression check done. some weird numbers on the passenger side bank.
first time i did it.
cyl 1 = 190 psi
cyl 2 = 0
cyl 3 = 160
second time i ran the test
cyl 1= 110 psi
cyl 2= 0 psi
cyl 3 110 psi
3rd time
cyl 1= 110
cyl 2=0
cyl 3=155
the forth time i only did cyl 3 got 90 psi
so wired every time i did it i got different numbers on each cyl exept 2 witch was 0. so there is something defiantly going on.
cyl 4,5,6 where all 180 psi on the mark every time i did the check.
so im stumped. im thinking some kind of timing problem? not sure what would cause the numbers to jump around so much. plz help im stumped lol. could one side slip timing.

Anyone? im supper stumped and dont have the cash to call a repair guy. should i just start taking the front end apart so i can see the timing belt. or could it be something as simple as a sensor?

It sounds like you have a dead hole. A leak down test should confirm where the issue is.
