Default Some problems

I have a 2001 A6 2.7t Automatic with Tip Tronic. The car have 118K miles and I would appreciate very much any king of sugestions regarding the following problems:

The tiptronic is not working. When I switch from automatic to tip tronic, nothing happens.

When I'm slowing down, like on a stop light, i can feel some vibrations on the front of the car.

The car sometimes smells like burning oil. Especially when I use the 93 Octanes gas. For some reason, when I use the regular gas, it doesn't smell nearly as much as the premium.
Wich gas should I use?

Thank guys, for the help.

Regards

Default for the tip part, get some1 to scan your car for codes

what do u mean nothin happens?

vibrations: brakes/rotors

burning oil: cam seals? valve cover gaskets?

gas: use 93(or in Cali, 91) octane ONLY, DUMBASS!

Default Re: Some problems

You might have a faulty tip swith in the shifter. the buring smell is most likely a oil leak from the valve covers or tensioner seal leaking on the turbo, which will run hotter with 93 octane
