so i have a 2001 s4 avant and just recently it went into limp mode with all the dash lights coming on. the code was p1171, my throttle body part. i did not want to spend the $900 on a new one so i had it rebuilt by a reputable shop in california. it was installed this morning and to my surprise on the way home it started again like i had never touched it. i am at a loss...

what exactly did they rebuild?

they replaced the core inside of the throttle body. im not totally sure what that consists of but whatever it was it didnt work.

might want to get a statement showing exactly what they replaced

the thing they have to replace isn't that expensive I don't think
