Brake service question
My wifes 2006 A6 3.2 is going to need brake pads soon. Front and rear, 35000 mi now. I have done this plenty of times on my TT but the A6 has electric parking brake actuators. Does this require anything different for retracting the pistons other than the regular VW Audi brake tool that cranks the piston in as it compresses it? If any of you who do some of your own service could tell me before I get into it, I would certainly appreciate it.

Per Bentley Manual, all you need is a VAG-COM tool to reset the brake module...
and two socket tools, T40065 (left side) and T40066 (right side) to remove the caliper. You don't need to rotate and press the piston like previous non-electrical rear parking brake systems, only press them in by hand. I haven't done this service myself yet, but it doen's appear to be too difficult from the Bentley manual.
