Default 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro

So I’m kinda stuck and confused. The other day I went to the store and when I came out my car would not start. Every time I turn the key it just clicks once, so I figured ok it must be the starter. Well I just replaced the starter and when I went to go start it.... nothing happened it just clicks once still.... this is my only car and I need to fix the issue ASAP does anyone have any ideas or has anyone suffered from this problem before? Also I read somewhere that it could be my ignition switch?

a clicking sound could be a number of things, first you should find what exactly is clicking could be the relay making that sound, also you can check the voltage at the switch wire on the starter. then make sure you have proper ground that should eliminate the switch theory. if its the relay that clicking and still no pwr to the starter then the problem could be between the relay and the starter. btw make sure the alarm is DI activated
