I have an Audi Allroad 2013 with 97k miles on it.

I had a small oil leak in August 2019 that was repaired at Audi. A few weeks after the oil leak repair was done, my oil light came on. I brought it back to Audi and they said they must of not topped the oil off properly. They added oil and I went on my way. Then another 500-600 miles my oil light came back on. I brought it back to Audi, they checked it out and said they don't see an oil leak. The manager explained to me that it is easier and less expensive to put in a quart of oil then to take the engine apart, looking for a leak that might not be covered by the extended warranty and to incur $5-7k in repairs.

We have another appointment with a different Audi dealership this Friday, October 11th. To get a second opinion.

I called Audi N America Customer Experience. They said that my car is not covered under the Oil Consumption. But, she will keep in touch after my Friday service appointment.

We are at a loss...

I have a 2012 Avant 55k original owner. My car experienced excessive oil consumption beginning around 48k. The car was consuming 1 qt
of oil every 500 miles. There was a class action suit regarding the 2.0 liter motors for the model year 2009-2011. Audi replaced the pistons and rings for those model years providing they didn’t have more than 80k miles on them. Apparently some model years with the 2.0 liter motor from 2012-2015 are also subject to excessive oil consumption. Such as mine, and yours. On my vehicle Audi picked up more than 50% of the cost, saving me about $4,000. If I were you I’d sell your car ASAP! Buy a Honda!
