Default I cant remove the front plate without there being holes?!?

Hello I need help/advice

I live in KY and front plates are not needed. I am interested in getting a car from OR where front plates are required. They tell me that on the 2018 allroad, there is not a front plate filler and that if they remove the front plate, there will be two holes seen on the grill. Is this true? Is there no way for me to make a clean front grill by removing the plate? The dealer says that the only way is to get a new grille entirely that does not have the front plate bracket.

Thanks in advance. I was about to purchase this today, but this is a potential deal breaker

There is definitely a front plate filler oem part available. I have no idea what the dealer is talking about. There are two separate part numbers I bought mine straight from the dealer for around $60 total.

I believe the part your looking for is #9 in the diagram

I did 😀. I had totaled my first 2018 3 weeks ago thanks to black ice and a stone gate entrance. Luckily only the car damaged. I love allroads so much and instantly decided I needed to hunt down another one 😀. It was hard due to the 2019 delays imo.

Can’t wait to get back in one. Cheers!
