Default UNDECIDED PURCHASE 2017 ALLROAD

So here I sit contemplating weather or not I should purchase the all-new 2017 allroad. My biggest fear is the dreaded oil consumption that has plagued the A4 back in the day. I also know that Audi seems to have fixed this issue and that there build quality has improved over the years. Has anybody experienced oil issues with their new 2016/2017 Allroads?

We have had multiple Audis in the family over the last 10 years (A4, Q5, Allroad B8, Q7s and I just took delivery of an Allroad 17'). We never had any issues with any of our Audis, nothing on the oil front. I can not say the same as to the Mercedes I had. I think it also matters if the shop where you service is properly equipped, knowledgeable and really honest about their work ... you've got to get to know them. We take ours to a reputable Audi dealer close to home for over 10 years. We like the brand and the dealer but if something in this equation changes in the future then we may need to look somewhere else.

As someone who owns a Q5 that has been plagued by this very issue, I can say that I 100% have no reservations whatsoever about this problem in a new Audi. The issue is non-existent in the 2.0T engine past the mid-2012/2013 model year.

I thank you guys for your reply's. I have read the same thing about it not being an issue anymore. Never hurts to ask especially when I had to talk my wife out of buying a Subaru outback and buying this Audi Allroad ! She just couldn't justify the price difference but i always get my way... Yea right

I was also (briefly) considering the Outback though I got as far as sitting in one. The Outback is an incredible wagon and I would take nothing away from it, but it does not have the power, agility, finesse that the Allroad has. At 15k more, that is expected.
Bottom line, here's a one sentence summation from the May issue of Car and Driver. "By virtually every measure, Audi's Allroad is the best performing tall wagon sold in America".

My 2011 Avant had minimal issues, and none so far with my A9 AR. I had a lot of problems though with my 2000 ML350, throughout my ownership.

I was all set to buy an Outback--tested the fit of the dog kennel and everything!--and then I drove an Allroad.
