"vw" swing wheels... look what I found out about the centercaps
I keep seeing people asking about these wheels and obviously you can get the "vw" ones alot cheaper than the audi version. They are the same except the centercaps.
Guess what ? The vw swing wheels actually come with BOTH centercaps. To make the vw caps they just apply a metal vw logo with adhesive right on top of the audi cap. All you have to do is heat them up to loosen the glue and pry the vw logo off... and underneath is the silver audi cap with the 4 rings logo engraved into it. You don't need to spend $60-80 to get the audi caps. Hope this helps...

My thoughts...
I'm betting that if you ordered vw caps from a dealer you'd end up with plastic caps. But for some reason the swing wheels come with the 'modified' audi caps, whhich are made out of metal, and have the vw logo stuck on top. At least thats how the wheels I had for a short while were... I took apart one of the caps to confirm this and then glued it back together when I sold the wheels to a passat owner.
