Not because the car was running, or a cell phone...
...It has been proven over and over that a cell phone doesn't cause enough static electricity to spark a fire.
That fire started because the IDIOT was IN the car and got out without touching anything. How many times have you gotten out of your car and you get shocked on your door when you close it. This is exactly what happens. Never get in and out of your car when you are at the pumps.
If that person would have touched their door before the pump they may not have done anything. The static electricity needs to be elimanted before you touch the pump.
Sorry for the rambling...but these stupid myths that everyone takes for absolute truths drive me up the wall.

Run through the gamut - spark - coil pack - fuel filter - vac leaks etc..
could be many things at this point. What is your current repair history for general engine maintenance items?

Re: a running car is a souce of sparks - either for your car or the car next to it.
Or the car pulling into the gas pump in front of you. Won't happen. Its from static electricity. A running car will not start a gas pump fire unless their is a huge problem with the car.

I don't know the mileage of the spark plugs. I will replace those this weak. Fuel filter is stock. I will check for vac leaks also.
I'm just thrown off with the only while warm symptom.
Any recommendations on a spark plug. Does a turbo engine require anything special?
