A4 and A6
I have a question how different are the A4 to the A6 on computer?
I have an A4 Avant and I have replace the transmission with an A6 transmission. The transmission are the same outside, but inside they are different, and I was told in order to make it work I need to change the ECU. So, I bought the ECU, but I am not sure why the scanner can not read it. Are they really different?
I will appreciate any help.

Why would you change the ECU (ENGINE Control Unit) when you replaced the transmission? It has it's own, separate computer called the TCU (TRANSMISSION Control Unit).
Your post is also extremely vague for how technical your problem is.
