A4 with sports suspension too low?

I've been driving around in the NYC snow and everytime I go over some snow, I hear it hitting the bottem of my car.

Does that hurt the car in anyway? The snow doesn't seem too high either, 5 inches maybe.

Careful now; I hit a snow covered curb and ripped my lower cover to shreds..

does anyone make a grill gaurd with skid plate for the A4?
