adding hid's to halogen housings????????

adding hid's to halogen housings????????
will it look good? im looking for a slight purple tint from far but white from close. if posibale what brand. can i use stock hid kits without changing the housing? did a search and im still a little lost.

8000k on the left, 4300k in the middle, and 5400k on the right.
