Alignment Problem

Experienced a freeway rear tire blow out at 4000K on my 98.5 Avant QMS.When we made it to a Dunlop dealer, they caught a major alignment problem--severe toe out on both back wheels/tires, resulting in major wear on inside of both rear tires.The dealer we had it towed to (Pegasus in Charlottesville, Va.) has new Dunlops on order for delivery tomorrow. The mechanic's reading is that the factory simply let the misalignment slip by, there doesn't appear to be any other damage, and that if he can get the alignment right with the new tires, the car should be good to go.Has anybody had experience with this problem? Any thoughts on further steps I should take to cover myself re: warranty and possible lemon? Thanks!

I'm starting to wonder if they are all coming from the factory misaligned. I had my car for a year, and the inside of the rear tires were very worn, until a terrible cabin noise began from the wear. I kept having the tires rebalanced thinking it was a balance problem, but when I had the dealer check the alignment, it was out of alignment. There have been a couple other posts about the car being out of alignment, and a few that have mentioned the inside tire wear, but hadn't had the alignment checked yet. One other thing is that I also have a '98.5 Sport, only in sedan form.G. Hale '98.5 2.8 QMS
