Default Attention Garret Turbo peeps!

Where did you tap for boost pressure. KKK turbos have a tap on the scroll to get an accurate boost reading for determining when to open open up the wastegate... Garret GT28* turbo doesn't have one.. tapping for that between the turbo and the intake manifold seems fraut with problem if a hose blows off or something.. no more wastegate opening = overspinning turbo? :-o

Angry Alex, et al.. what did you do? :-)

Thanks!

Default tapped the vacline to the FPR.

Default Thanks for the quick response....

So if a hose pops off between your turbo and intake manifold.... your wastegate stays shut? Are you using an MBC or letting the ECU determine when to open the wastegate? (Please be patient with me.. I'm a n00b! :-p )

Default Oh man.. I got another quick quesiton for ya.. (BPV/BOV)

Are you running a BPV or BOV? If BPV, where are you dumping the air back to?.. if BOV, which did you go with, and how did you adjust it to stay closed at idle. Thanks man! Glad you went through this first ;-)

Default Alex....tell johnny to send me his mailing address again, i lost it and he's not replying...

either that or gimme yours so i can send that circuit out.

oh, are you running secondary air on your car? i'm assuming if you aren't, your engine light is on all the time. i'm keepin it on this car for that, but it does get kinda messy with all the piping.

take care and thanks for the input man.
