attn. Jason T: long-term impressions of the JL Audio Stealthbox and JL Audio Evolution speakers?
I am considering having JL Audio's Stealthbox and Evolution (VR or XR) coaxial speakers installed in my 99.5 A4 1.8T QMS.
I believe you had this same combination of speakers installed earlier this year. What are your long-term listening impressions of this speaker combination?
Also, how do the VR series compare with the XR series coaxials? Are they worth the additional money?
Thanks in advance!!!

I am thinking about putting the stealth boxes in too. (96 A4 2.8) The only thing I am worried about is the stereo shop tearing my car apart! (and getting it back together with no rattles, etc..)

i have auditioned Jason T's system . . .
u don't have to worry about taking stuff apart with the stealth box. It looks to me like it just slides in basically. There was an article in a stereo mag, awhile back on the A4 install, and they did not remove anything.
The box sounds good, but i am a fan of sealed enclosures, and i would lean to this for clarity and precision. The JL box is still using the trunk as part of the enclosure.

1996 a4 2.8 qm 12v
