Audi service vs. MY service
As you may have read a few days ago, I just picked up my beautiful 2001 A4 1.8TQ-Tip about 2 weeks ago. The car has 30k miles on it. After STFA I have come to the conclusion that it is no problem switching to fully synthetic oil at this point and I wouldn't mind doing it myself. My dilemma is that I have 20k/2 years left on the original warranty which includes all scheduled maintenance. I was hoping to get your opinion on the best course of action.
My thinking: After the new car warranty expires, the Audi assured used car bumper to bumper crap kicks in for another 2 years/100k miles. If I end up with some sort of problem during that time and scheduled maintenance was not performed by the dealer, they may give me a hard time about getting it fixed under the warranty.
Thanks for your time.

I do both
Dealer scheduled service is every 10000 miles after the first 10000. In between those services I change my own oil (Mobil 1) then bring the same oil I use with me when they do it.
