Default AudiWorld first-timer observation

Hey guys, I'm new to this site but noticed that most of you have the 1.8T instead of the 2.8. I've heard that there are more mods for the 1.8T...is that why so many of you prefer the 1.8? I have a 2.8 and am now waivering in my choice of engine!

Default Yes..most of us are mod happy morons...

and that is why we opt for the 1.8T..much easier modability
But the 2.8 is good for what it is? Escpecially if you have the 30v
It is a real nice car, just not as sporty as a 1.8t with a lil work in it
But if you REALLY want the HP you can just supercharge it :-D

Yes, the 1.8t is less expensive, and the mods for it are cheaper -- a chipped 1.8t, for example, will put out higher peak power than a 2.8.

However, that said, there are still mods for the 2.8, as well as many advantages. Do not be dissapointed with your car! I've found that this 1.8 tends to be a trouble maker when it's in a bad mood -- broken hoses, valves going bad, intercoolers heating up -- power sometimes seems to come and go.

I often miss the good 'ol V8 days; there's something to be said for a larger, NA engine.
