auto ecu in manual car
What's up audi bros,I recently just purchased a 1996 audi a4 for $400 cuz the car wouldn't start after 30v swap.it was taken out of a 98 auto vw passat.the car still has the 1996 manual tranny in it.so my question is will the auto ecu cause me to have starting problems along with crank sensor being positioned in the right spot? Thanks for any info

From what i was told the engine harness and ecu was swapped over.yesterday i had a friend of mine come by and recoded the ecu from auto to manual.when we cleared all the old codes the new ones that show are tb out line and no signal from speed sensor.i keep trying to adjust the sensor in the right position to see if it will start.im thinking of just swapping the tranny to a 98 fwd to make it easier for me to just bolt on the speed sensor.if it still gives me the code p1565 then i would assume its something wrong with the harness somewhere.
Was he suppose to swap out anything else other the motor,harness and ecu?oh yeah ,another thing is we recoded an ecu that is 1997 but i also have one thats 1999 4DO 907 551 AH.any diff?

Im getting code p0322 which from what I've read means a problem with the speed sensor(crank sensor)anybody here have pics of where its suppose to be mounted on a 1996 2.8 fwd.on the 1998 2.8 motor I see a spot that is just like the one from the 1996 but it doesn't fit snug as it does on the 1996.I saw on another thread somewhere that I have to put some washer on the bracket to make it work.
