Auto to manual swap on 1990 audi 100 fwd non-turbo I-5
I have several questions and figured I would unload them all at once to save time. My current tranny is done. It is slipping and doesn't want to shift into 3rd or reverse when it is warm. Since the interchange is 89-90 only for the 3 sp auto can I do the 4 sp auto (91-up) with an ecu swap? Is there any wiring involved with swapping the trans out to a manual? Do I need the manual trans ecu? Or can I run what I have for an ecu? Obviously I will need the pedal cluster and cable and flywheel but is this possible? Sorry for all the questions I just want to know my options.
