Avant cargo net hooks stuck. How to get them off?

Avant cargo net hooks stuck. How to get them off?
I've got the cargo net hooks installed *under* the front mounting rings and they don't want to come off. I can't move the net enough to one side or the other to make it come loose. Anyone have any tricks for getting them loose?
Sometimes I carry long objects and I don't want the cargo net in the way when I slide stuff in.
