on the way home this evening.. Long one way stretch belt-line connector from main road to interstate.

Gf was behind me cruising along. I was in 3rd gear hovering around 5.5k rpm built up some boost and dropped WOT (limited to 15psi). 7.2k whips around and slide into 4th run through the gear and shift into 5th around 4k and let the car slow itself down.

Get back to the house, the GF gets out of her car and says "omgz your car blew fire.. like.. FIRE."

I must be running a bit rich..good amount of black smoke from 3rd and fire into 4th. Time for a spring tune up I would say.

time to have my RC's flow tested and cleaned up. New N75, plugs, etc.. just a nice tune up.

I usually don't worry about it until it gets bad enough that I can see it in my rear view... thats when it kinda scares me
