BPV anyone install without venting back to intake?
going to install my bpv today, does it have to be "vented" back into the intake track or can you plug off the intake where it would have gone into and just let it vent to the atmosphere? thanks

Our understanding is you want to plumb it back...
The MAF measures air, and with a BPV, the air is routed back...and that is metered air. So if you went with a BOV, you are venting to atmo metered air, which means your car will run rich.
Second, its hard to get a BOV not to leak at idle, which can net you CELs.
Do a search on the S4 forum for "Don Istook" he made some wonderful posts about BOV (note he likes em).
If you really want the "pssht" sound then get an intake...an intake coupled with a metal body BPV makes strong BOV like sounds.
