Braking Problem
I was out and about enjoying the recent snow storm and suddenly mashed on the brake because of some kids having a snowball fight. I felt some grinding as i applied pressure to the pedal and have no idea what happened. Now I have this on my screen (under the temp and above the gear indicator)
The car also beeps whenever i exceed 25 mph. I'm somewhat concerned and hoping I didn't do damage to the car.

read link, active speed control is activated.
Grinding sound is most likely abs activating, unrelated to speed control.
Read your manual or search on here for instruction on how to deactivate speed control system.
