Hey guys, I got a 98 Audi A4 2.8l quattro. i had my arm rest flipped up so i could get something out of it last night and when my fat friend sat in the car, his fatness broke the arm rest off its hindges! isnt that funny? well not so funny because now i gotta get a new one. any suggestions on where to find a new one? i dont want to go to the dealership cause im afraid they will charge me up the waaazooo! should i hit up the junkyard? any suggestions?

Unless you have a source for little stuff like this, it's typically not worth your time to track these things down. Just call the dealer, and order the part.

Now if you needed a new tranny...THEN going to the dealer could be a huge mistake.

tranny? what would i need that for? do you think i could find an arm rest at the junk yard? how much do you think it will cost me if i order it from the dealer?

he is pretty fat, he is on this forum sometimes and i believe his screen name is something like: 'fatdirtybastard' he is really fat and he just barrelled into my car and snapped the top of the arm rest right off! can you believe it? he said he would pay for it but i still need to get the part, but i dont want to go throught the dealer ya know! any suggestions?
