COMFORT CONTROL MODULE
Hi There Folks - Dealer has said I need a new Comfort Control Module to fix keyless entry only functioning for 2 or 3 goes after reset, then saying it's not recognising the door circuits.
Two questions: Dealer wants $1400 for part and I can get it for less then half that from Jim Ellis.

Or is a warranted second hand one worth a shot? (They're about $200.)
Secondly, do these need to be programmed in any way or do they learn what options and features they service?
Have had a poke around but couldn't find the right answers.
Many thanks for any opionions.

Used should be OK. They are not known as frequently bad parts so the used one will probably be as good as new.
If you want new this guys will sell for less.
It has to be programmed. VCDS programming is simple. It will work without programming too, but you may not have all functions that you might like.

Hi there guys - Can someone please help
I Have an 2007 Audi Audi S8 my rear Entertainment system (TV's In Head Rests & DVD Player in the Boot) as gone down, but now also my Bluetooth & Rear HVAC Controls have also all gone down.
I have checked the fuses in both driver and passenger doors as well as the ones in the boot on both sides and all are ok, I was told it may be the module which bolts onto the DVD Player as it controls the player & Screens so I changed it costing me £600 and still nothing I have also to day changed the 2 relays in the boot on the drives side … still no joy...
can someone please help as it seems I am just throwing water down the drain.

Check you battery, those are the ones power management would shut down before anything else. Get a new battery and it should fix it. Things don't just fail over night.

Thank you for your reply,
Could it be the Power management module? As the battery has not long been changed ?
And if so would it bring up any errors
Thanks Aj

don't guess, just have your battery tested, if the battery is good, your MMI will show 100%, it would take less than 5 minutes to go from 10% to 100%. I don't use VCDS to troubleshoot anything. Use logic and understanding of the system. Don't wander off to illogical land, it's a waste of time for you and everyone else.
Cheers,
Louis
