Default allows the car to continue running for a specified amt of time when you take the key out

this alloiws the turbo to cool down properly-via allowing the oil to continue circulating etc..

Default keeps your car on after you take out the key.

leaves it on to cool down the engine, and to keep the oil running through the turbo, allowing it to cool by circulation.

Default the car is still locked and the alarm still sets

you can set the turbo timer for however long you want (typically 1-2 minutes). When you get out and set the alarm the car remains running. While the car is still running the doors are locked and the alarm is set so no one can get it. Once the time expires the timer shuts off and the car remains locked/alarmed. Definitley good to have, especially if modded.

Default yeah, good idea to get it, or just sit in the car for 2 minutes and let it idle...

As far as theft, a body with an Eclipse did this: He did some additional electrical work around the hand brake. When he leaves the car with TT running, he puts the hand brake on. Then, if someone gets into the car (they would have to unlock the door somehow or break in otherwise), they have to release the hand brake, but when they do that, the ignition immediately shuts off - that's how he wired it.
