Default Can't the throttle adapt. on my 96 :( help please TIA

I tried checking blocks 060 and 098 like they said on Ross-techs site but they both come up as not available on my VAG software. Am I doing something wrong?

Default We have mechanical "cable" throttle; thus, manual not computer adjustment

I believe the Ross-Tech applies only to the "drive-by-wire" (DBW) models where a computer senses the amount of travel in the accelerator and then actuates the throttle electronically. The Ross-tech instructions basically allow you to reset the computer to measure the accelerator petal at "zero" (that's why they advise not to have the car on or depress the petal while resetting). If you read the posts of many modder's, the DBW cars often have problems handling the extra hp, because Audi did not program the 1.8T computer with a big turbo 250-300 hp car in mind. Thus, some people believe that they do not get full use of the potential hp.
