Just replaced my starter a couple weeks ago after my car wouldn't start and had that "clicking" sound.

Now, Today, somtimes I will have to try to start the car 3-5 times before it actually starts. The engine will attempt to turn and crank, but will die not fully turn over just as if the clutch is not all the way in. The other night it even died out on my at a red light, but started up again.

Here's more background info: GIAC chip, running BPV and open intake. Replaced MAF and POS Ignition amplifier, and spark plugs 3000 miles ago. Smogged OK 1000 miles ago. New starter 4 weeks ago. Check light for "EVAP leak" somewhere.

What could it be? Fuel pressure problem? Vacuum leak somewhere? Battery? Voltage sensor in ALternator? New starter again? EVAP fouling out my plugs? or bigger problems? Please help.thanks....

Battery is low maintenance and requires topping up.

When was the last time it was replaced?
When was the last time you added water to the battery?

...it got really cold one night, and car no startie. Had to get a jump, then next day had to drive a 93 escort to go and get my new Sears Die Hard International Battery. I did the topping off thing about 2 weeks before, but the cells had already died....too late for me.

Seems like I have to crank it a few times, then press the clutch in and turn the key again and then it will turn on.
