CEL continued...
This morning, when I started the car to go to autozone to get my codes pulled, the display was back to normal, with engine power back to normal.
Codes were:
P1127
P1129
P0411
P0103
can anyone translate these for me in layman's terms? Why the loss of power?
I really am starting to have a love/hate relationship with my car.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2662409.phtml">Yesterday's symptoms</a></li></ul>
P1127 - Bank 1, too rich
P1129 - Bank 2, too rich
P0411 - Secondary Air Injection, incorect flow detected
P0103 - MAF, implausible signal
sounds like you MAF is dead or dying. Get a VAgcom and check block 003 @ idle, MAF readings should be between 2.0 - 4.0 g/s. I bet that it is reading around 5.0-7.0 g/s at idle.
The first two indicate you're running rich in both banks 1&2.
The third indicates a secondary air injection leak of some sort.
The fourth indicates a MAF sensor problem (signal too high).
Replacing your MAF sensor may solve all these issues, it may be telling the engine it's taking in more air than it is = rich. I'd check your secondary air injection system for leaks also, just to be safe.
I don't have first hand experience with any of these but the 3rd (and I've a 1.8T), so all that info is available if you just search.
Post back with what you find out.
edit- Ertman beat me to it. Damn my slow typing and weak searching skillz.
