CEL and loss of boost....

CEL and loss of boost....
Driving home for the weekend I noticed my boost no longer hitting its peak of 15 pounds, and stuttering around 4... pulled over to check it out, but didnt see anything really. Got going again (after turning the car off and on) and the boost was there again.... for about 5 min, then the CEL came on(constant, not flashing) on the rest of the drive home (200 miles or so) the boost kept coming and going, and for the last 60 or so it worked fine.... and still does. Anyone think of something it could be? Loose vacume hose? blown BPV?
I have an appt with the dealer Friday to replace my instrument cluster due to lines in the display and also chenge the oil so I can have it checked/reset then.

Just had this same problem on my 00 1.8T Avant,
found a broken vacuum line on the valve behind the block, up top passenger side. The line was broken right where it bends off the fitting on the valve. Replaced it and the car is fine. Had exact same symptoms, loss of boost and CEL.
