cell phone-oem portable adapter?
I found in my manual that Audi offers two options for integrating cell phones into the existing prewiring. It's on page 122 of the manual, but mine is in spanish so yours could differ.
The first option is an in-car phone (made by motorola?) that uses an in-trunk transceiver, obviously does not allow to take the phone with you when leaving the cars, and is very expensive. The second one, and most interesting, seems to be a cradle to mount a portable phone AND use it with the hands free wiring in the car. There's a picture of it in the manual and clearly shows a nokia phone (I think 61xx series).
Is anyone aware of this option? What would be the part # for this accesory?
My guess is that the accesory would include the mounting cradle for the phone (that would connect to the RJ-45 jack in the armrest)plus some kind of interface towards the DB-25 connector in the trunk.
I know the nokia 61xx can be connected according to the FAQ, but this would be a "cleaner" approach and personally would prefer it. Just have to find out the availability and cost.
