Default Change to Light Silver in 2001 models??

I was at the dealership this weekend and saw a Light Silver 1.8T with onyx interior. It looked very pale in comparison to older silver models. Anyone out there know if the color was altered in any way for 2001? The dealership just got the car in.

Also saw a Cactus Green quattro with the quattro sport upgrade (17 inch wheels)...a lot nicer color than I expected from the brochure.

Default The change happened in the 00 models I believe.

The light silver no longer has that bluish tint in it.

The "swatches" in the brochures are terrible. The only one that ever came across right was the sable brown (thankfully discontinued). You're right, Cactus Green is beautiful in person!

Default Cactus Green Avant

My wife's Cactus Green A4 1.8T 5M Avant just arrived - 17" sports, xenon, celebration, cold, ESP. I've got a Ming Blue A6 2.7T 6M - I would not have picked the green A4 based on the brochure but was knocked over by it in person - it looks great with the tan interior. Cactus green with the 17" rims looks agressive and serious without being flashy - perfect. We pick up on Tuesday morning from Langan Audi in Albany NY.

Our local dealer has not seen many at all - our's was a special order from last November. The car came off the truck Saturday morning and they had half a dozen people ask to drive it by noon when we came in - they had put the sold sign on it by then. Dealer said they would probably order more on spec. Locally, the dealerships have very few Avants but lots of sedans. Almost all the sedans are silver, Santorin blue, or black with small numbers of melange or hibiscus red. No green anywhere - it is a great color.

LY7W paint code, like Lake Silver Metallic in the TT's and Light Silver in the A6's. Same color.

good to know! I was given a bottle of touch up paint and was concerned why it said "Lake Silver"
