Check engine light
The "Check Engine" light came on for the first time last night on our 1998 A4 with less than 10,000 miles. When I called the dealer they said if the light is solid and not blinking to have the car towed to the dealership.
Since the light did not come on this morning my wife took it to work, but says at times the car appears to be low on power when accelerating from a stop light.
In the meantime, unless the light comes back on, I have an appointment at the dealership on Monday. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Laurel Motors, Audi dealer in Westmont,IL has the srvice advisor that says, "if the light is solid have the car towed in, if the light is blinking it is not to bad." Who is right?
